Lubana Community

Traditionally we were caravan operators who carried grains and other basic commodities to different parts of the country. We kept our own pack of animals and ran successful caravans. Bibi Jagir Kaur, the first woman to be elected as the president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) that manages the historic Sikh shrines comes from our caste.
